Since the game was evetually released in North America under the clever title of Buster's Scary Dream (honestly, what the hell?) I picked it up for cheap expecting to be disappointed, and I wasn't disappointed. Buster's Scary (Bad) Dream is completely terrible.

I could only stomach the game for so many stages before I just couldn't stand to play another minute. It plays like Treasure's Astro Boy, in that you control Buster and you beat up some enemies. You can hit enemies into other enemies and combo them together. You can perfrom a special move, or call on a buddy that you of your choice to lend a hand. You can also jump. Now, you must walk through level after level fighting off the exact same enemies repeatedly and eventually you will reach a boss. This is all surprisingly difficult as it can be pretty hard to avoid being hit by the enemies since they are always coming from each side of the screen, and your only defence is to jump or hit them before they hit you.

Buster's Bad Dream basically feels like a prototype to Astro Boy, and clearly never should have been released.
