I wouldn't really call it a review. He spents 90% of the video saying this is what he'd see in the arcades. He doesn't talk about modes, the controls, variety, longativity, and art direction to any great detail.
Wow, you couldn't have misinterpreted him more. He doesn't talk about any of the things you mentioned in great detail because it's a
video review. But he does talk about what the game feels like to play and how you play it. Combine this with the video footage and I think it gives an impression of what the game is like better than most the reviews of this game.

He also says there's nothing to compare it to? I'm pretty certain there are tonnes of shooters on xbox live, right? Fair enough, many don't control quite like this one, but you can still compare S&P2 to an action game when it comes to what I listed above.
Jeeze, listen to him again. He says he feels there is nothing to compare it to
because other similar games have not evolved, both technically and creatively, in the way S&P2 has. Really, go back and listen to him. And he's right. Old school arcade-style games have for the most part have not evolved since they became a niche genre.

Then again, this is a review for a title dedicated to Treasure titles, so chances are anyone watching it is going to be avid Treasure fans like us. Maybe it would've been his worth debating it against other Treasure titles in the past?
I don't think this game needs to be compared to older Treasure titles. Especially since the Treasure titles one would compare it to are ten or more years old.
